Described as mellow and mellifluous, this Eurosoul songstress grew up near Cologne, Germany playing the violin, piano and guitar, and listening to her Nigerian dad’s soul, reggae and Afrobeat records. At 21, Ayo moved to Paris to begin her music career and shortly thereafter found herself opening for soul singers like Omar and Cody ChesnuTT.
Three albums later, Ayo is at the top of her game, poised to named the new reigning Queen of Afropean soul music. Her latest album Billie-Eve – named after her daughter – was released March 2011 and already is garnering rave reviews from fans across Europe.
