Bonjour and welcome to La Jolie Noire Media, the online magazine and city guide that celebrates urban Paris in all of its diversity.

The site is for saavy, sharp, cultured, open-minded urbanites who want connect with the hippest happenings the City of Light has to offer.  From art, music, film and books to places to eat, sleep, shop and boogie, our goal is to bring you the content and information you need to plug directly into the urban Paris scene.

Some of you may be familiar with our partner site Café de la Soul*Your Black Paris Portal, one of the first sites on the interweb dedicated to highlighting Black culture in France from an African American perspective.

La Jolie Noire Media is Café de la Soul’s hipper, younger sister.  And like Café de la Soul, La Jolie Noire Media seeks to serve as a premier online reference for individuals who want the skinny on the coolest people, places, events ‘n thangs on the Seine.
