From April 29 to May 7, street and graffiti artists from around the world will put their skills to the test and compete for your adoration.  MC New York Illspokin will be on the mic dazzling on lookers with his lyrical wordplay, while Radio FG mans the turntables and provides play-by-play commentary of the action taking place on canvas.

ArtBattles began in Brooklyn, New York in the fall of 2000 with a mission to produce live art events and competitions that expose emerging artists to the masses.  As per their website:  ”We believe the exclusivity that confines today’s art culture must be eliminated in order to ensure that art remains engaging and accessible.”

And to that, La Jolie Noire Media says let the battle of the brush (and spray cans) begin!
